My Background
My Grandmother Was A Great Artist. Her Paintings Reminded me of Maxfield Parish Art. My Grandfather Was A Great Artist Whose Paintings of Our Lady of Guadalupe + His Bullfighter Paintings Were Beautiful. I Love To Draw Since I Was In 5th Grade I Was Inspired by Al Capp’s Comic Book Art of Dick Tracy The Way He Drew Women I Used To Draw In School bc they were so beautiful. Then at 14 Years old I began drawing psychedelic flowers using The Saturated Colors Of The 60’s I’d Send to A Friend & A Store Front Window Of My ‘Lady Madonna‘ bc I Played Piano Since I Was 6 years old & Loved The Beatles. I Was Always Drawing, Painting, Sitting At The Piano Writing My Own Songs & Sang. I Fell In LOVE With Drawing + Painting At Age 14. I Used to Draw Colored Ink Drawings of Psychedelic Abstract Beautiful Linear Flowers. I Began Seriously Working On My Drawings When I Was 17 Ink On Paper. I Created a Portfolio Of My Watercolor Self Portraits Fantasy, A Watercolor Portrait of Elton John Whose Songs I Used To Play All The Time on the Piano. I Drew A Gigantic 5’ x ‘3’ Drawing Ink On Paper of A Fantasy Man Seated In a Chair Looking Insane That I Drew w 1000’s Of Lines a Big Piece. I Submitted My Portfolio & Won a Scholarship to TN Arts But Couldn’t go but I Went to UALR College in LR, AR And took Every Art Class They Had. I StudiEd Old-Fashioned Silk Screen, Bavarian Limestone Lithography, 4-Color Metal Engravings. My Art Teachers Loved My Art & My Passion For Creating Art. I LivEd w Famous American Artist Peter Max For 10 Years After My Late Husband Jimmy Roberts Died. Peter Loved My Art. We’d Sit Around Drawing Together All The Time Listening To Music. I Got to Watch & Learn What Incredible Art Tips From Seeing Every Drawing, Prints, Canvases & Murals He Painted In Front of Me As I Filled Many Sketchbooks Up w Lots of Drawings. Peter Was My Biggest Fan. I Was His Biggest Fan. I Was Asked To Do Paintings On Commission For Years By America’s Multi-Billionaire Which I Painted My Drawings Onto Canvas Working w So Many Interweaving Lines At 16-18 Hours a Day No Days Off For 1 Year Just To Finish 1 Painting. He Paid Me A Lot Of Money For Each Painting I Did. I Love Drawing Whether It’s Digitally w Ipad Pro or Ink On Paper. Peter Max Taught me to Keep The Creativity To Draw Always. I Have Enjoyed creating Digital Paintings & Then Digitally Colorized @DeepDreamGenerator Which I’ve Been Working On For The Last 8 Years. I Also Have Really Enjoyed Creating Animation Videos W My Prompt and My Digitally Colorized Paintings That Have Pleasantly Surprised Me By How My Art Reacts With The Same But Better Ways To Me As In The Series of ‘Neon Leon’ Musk Digitally Colorized Pro Video Animations Seeing His Face React To Me In Every Word I Used ThAt Makes Me Laugh Always. My Characters That I Draw Are All Me No Matter What I Draw Whether it’s a Dead Termite I Found In My Coffee I turned Lemons into Lemonade & Drew That Termite Floating In Space Wearing 6 Red High Heel Shoes & Sassing Me Terribly W The Stupidest Words Of Character I Can Invent. Fun Art. I Am Amazed To See The Road From Drawing On A Blank Page White or Black And Draw With or Without Thought Just Letting God Guide My Hand As My Finger which is the pen on my iPad Pro glides on the glass as I dance w lines always exploring w no boundaries & I often over draw it but then I can edit back what lines I feel don’t work until It Does Work. There’s A Story Behind Every Drawing I’ve Done. I’ve Even Improvised Some of My Character’s Lines of a Story I’ve Been Working On These Last Few Years Hopefully For an Adult Fantasy Animation Of My Various Characters, All Have a Past, Present, Future Dreams, Heart Breaks, Joy, Silly, Stupid, Wonderfully Innocent Characters & Their Voices Too w Crazy Hidden Agendas. My Medium
I use many different mediums, such as clay, acrylics, and pastels. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style.
My Inspiration
I enjoy hiking in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by these hikes in nature. I love recreating plants and wildlife in my work.
